Design Pal is our first international project in collaboration with IED Rome and Naresuan University.
Thirty students from both universities will form 15 pairs, mixing the students from both academies.
The groups will compete to design silversmith element that reflects today’s Thailand culture, tradition and evolution. Shaping an iconic element with a decisive mark that is a pride for young people and attractive for a market with contemporary, local, and international taste.
Students will work remotely, using online tools and collaborating with our three craft realities on Silver, fabric and ceramic.
The artisans will share with groups all the information about techniques and traditions. They will work together to develop the final prototypes.
The final result will be shown during an international event between Thailand and Italy.
